Eligibility Criteria for Indian Coast Guard Navik (GD) 01/2016 Batch :

Required Educational Qualification : Candidates should be passed 10+2 with minimum 50% marks  aggregate in total and minimum 50% in each subject of Maths / Physics from the Education Board recognized by State / Central Government.
Cut off will be given for outstanding sports person of National level who have obtained 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in any field sports events at the Open National Championship/ Interstate National Championship.

Age Details : Participants age should be minimum 18 Years and maximum 22 years i.e applicant not to be born earlier than 01 Feb 1994 and born not later then 31 Jan 1998. Upper age relaxation of 5 years in case of SC/ST and 3 years age relaxation in in case of OBC candidates.

Selection Process :  The selection of the applicants will be made on through Merit List which will be based on A. Written Test, B. Physical Fitness Test and C. Fitness in Medical Examination. Details are below..

(A) Written Examination :  The written examination will be of Objective type questions which will be usually cover subjects i.e. Maths, Physics, basic Chemistry, knowledge of English (12th standard), general knowledge, current affairs, quantitative aptitude and reasoning etc.

(B) Physical Fitness Test :  The Physical Fitness Test will be conducted for those candidates who will be qualified in the Written Examination. Physical Fitness Test will consist as…
1. 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes.
2. 20 Squat ups (Uthak Baithak)
3. 10 Pushups. Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk.

(C) Fitness in Medical Standard Details :

(a) Height – should be minimum 157 cms. Relaxation in height for candidates from hilly and tribal areas – as per govt. rules.
(b) Chest – should be well proportioned, minimum expansion of 5 cms.
(c) Weight – Proportionate to height and age + 10% acceptable.
(d) Hearing – Normal.
(e) Medical examination will be conducted by authorized Military Doctors as per medical standard prescribed in current regulations applicable to Enrolled Personnel on entry.

Pay Scale Details : Applicants who will be eligible and selected the examination board, will be eligible to get pay of Rs. 5200/- to Rs. 20200/- along with Rs. 2000 Grade Pay with addition in Dearness Allowance, Kit Maintenance Allowance and other liberal allowances will be admissible.

Exam Details :- Applicants are to be informed, the Date, time and venue of the recruitment exam will be notify through personal Email ID to all registered candidates, in the month of July/August 2015. Written examination will be held on 21 Cities at all Over the India by zone wise.
